New Diving Board

Our new Duraflex 16′ Modified Maxiflex Model “B” Aluminum Diving Board was installed on August 20th by Devise Diving of Ohio.

You may notice that the fulcrum is temporarily locked via a bike lock. This is due to an issue with the placement of our base, which will be addressed in the off-season. Unfortunately, the rubber interface on the new board does not entirely line up with the full travel of the fulcrum. Metal-on-metal contact could significantly damage the brand-new board if adjusted too far forward. Locking the fulcrum avoids this potential adjustment issue, and the board remains perfectly safe to use.

Enjoy!

June 2021 Update

Devise Diving returned to the club to re-install the base. While doing this, they installed all new stainless steel anchors, epoxied into the concrete deck. The board height was precisely adjusted, and components on the base were cleaned, replaced, and lubricated as necessary. As of June, it is (was) completely tuned up and in complete operating condition.

We plan to continue to use Devise to maintain our board seasonally.
