The Board is happy we were able to open on time, May 27th. We are still following COVID-19 protocols as needed based on government mandates and guidance from local health officials. With those things in mind, below is Fairway Farms Tennis & Swim Club COVID-19 FAQ for what we know as of now (last updated date). The goal of the FAQ is to answer as many questions as the Board anticipates members may have but we know we won’t cover everything. Please Contact the Board Secretary with any additional questions you may have and we will do our best to answer your question(s). Please understand these are the current guidelines and policies, but they are subject to change. The Board will communicate updates through email and this FAQ as the season approaches and more information is available.
Q: Will the pool open this season?
A: We opened per a regular season opening on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 4:00p.
Q: How will the Board ensure the safety and health of the members and staff when the Club reopens this season?
A: As has always been the case, the health and safety of our membership and staff are of utmost importance. The Club will continue to incorporate government-mandated and CDC safety guidelines into our operating procedures in order to help protect the health and safety of everyone at the Club. Some of the new health and safety procedures the Club instituted last season that will carry over to this season if necessary are:
- Six (6) feet of social distancing will be encouraged and expected on both the grounds and in the pool.
- Masks will be required inside the clubhouse at all times, including the restrooms (unless you are fully vaccinated, a minimum of two weeks after the last required dose) .
- Staff will be required to wear face masks at all times, except while on the lifeguard chair, unless they are fully vaccinated, a minimum of two weeks after the last required dose.
- High-touch surfaces (e.g. patio tables, restrooms, gate locks) will be wiped down by staff on a rotating basis.
Q: Will there be a capacity limit?
A: Our capacity will be based on government-mandated restrictions.
Q: Will the Club use the same reservation system as last season?
A: If the Board determines that a reservation system is necessary, we will more than likely use the same reservation system (signup genius) as last season. As the social distancing/capacity guidelines change we will reevaluate if this process is necessary or needs to be adjusted.
Q: Will I be able to bring guests to the pool this season?
A: At this time, guests are allowed.
Q: Will parties be allowed this season?
A: It will depend on the capacity limits mandated by government agencies at the time of the Club opening for the season if we decide to open up parties to happen.
Q: Will the snack bar be open this season?
A: The Snack Shack is open!
Q: Will there be swim lessons this season?
A: Yes, please check under the Lessons tab of the website and check the email address associated with your Bond for information.
Q: Will there be a swim team this season?
A: Yes! On February 10, 2021, Fairway Farms and the other four clubs in the SISL, agreed to sponsor swim teams at each of their individual clubs this summer. Additionally, all five clubs approved plans for holding Dual Meets and the League Meet, both with a modified, limited schedule this season. More information will be available as the season approaches.
Q: What if I paid my dues before the March 15, 2021 deadline, but later find out that the Club will not be as open or offer all the amenities I was hoping for. Can I get a refund on my dues paid and cancel my membership?
A: No. The Board understands this answer will be frustrating for some members. Unfortunately, Fairway Farms is member-owned and its members are responsible for paying dues to cover the expenses of the Club.
