We apologize for the lack of pool renovation updates over the last few months. Several factors contributed to the delay, some of which will appear below. Here is where we stand with the pool renovation.
Over the last two weeks, most of the work involved the demolition of the existing pool. As mentioned in the first two updates, demolition needs exceeded the original estimate.
Crews continue to peel back the many layers of marcite. To the casual observer – work in week two was very similar to that of week one. Lots of chipping and removal of material.
The site work started Monday night when we began emptying the pool minutes after the club closed at 8 pm. When we wrapped up around 10 pm, the water level was roughly two feet below the gutter.
A few small items of note for early August – the Funbrella has been repaired, issues with the WiFi are under observation, and preparation continues for the September pool renovation.
As spring approaches, we’re looking forward to a significant project that won’t occur until the swim season ends – a full replacement of the pool finish.
