Week One Update

The site work started Monday night when we began emptying the pool minutes after the club closed at 8 pm. When we wrapped up around 10 pm, the water level was roughly two feet below the gutter.

The site work started Monday night when we began emptying the pool minutes after the club closed at 8 pm. When we wrapped up around 10 pm, the water level was roughly two feet below the gutter.

A few small items of note for early August – the Funbrella has been repaired, issues with the WiFi are under observation, and preparation continues for the September pool renovation.

We added a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to our main pump motor this spring. So, you may ask, what is a VFD - and why should I care?

As spring approaches, we’re looking forward to a significant project that won’t occur until the swim season ends – a full replacement of the pool finish.

In early February, multiple trees on the property were trimmed or removed.
Finally, an over-due follow-up to our February Update.

We closed the pool for the 2021 season on Saturday, September 11th.

The board volunteers for Building & Grounds (B&G) worked hard to make behind-the-scenes improvements in the clubhouse and pump house during the 2020-2021 off-season.

Thanks to the generous donation from The Grewe Family, we now have a baby changing station installed in the family restroom.

You may be interested in the fact that we don’t own our parking lot lighting – we lease it from DTE. Via a program provided by DTE Community Lighting, we pay a monthly rate covering all the lights’ maintenance costs.…
